Northport Wins IAPH 2022 Sustainability Award
Northport was announced as the winner of the International
Association of Ports and Harbors (“IAPH”) 2022 Sustainability
Award under the Health Safety and Security category.
With its project titled “Journey Towards HSE Excellence”,
Northport defeated two other finalists, namely Port of Montreal
and Port of Amsterdam, in this category. The winners were
determined by the panel of experts with 70% marks whilst the
remaining 30% of the marks was from the public voting which
was made through the World Ports Sustainability Programme
website from 21 March 2022 until 18 April 2022.
Launch of COVID-19 Booster Programmes
To support the government’s initiative to expedite the
COVID-19 booster vaccination, PTP, Kontena Nasional
and Northport have initiated their respective COVID-19
Vaccine programmes and initiatives. With this, all affiliated
employees and local industry players were encouraged
and enabled to maintain their full vaccination status

Johor Port Participates in UNCTAD Train for
Trade Port Management Week 2022
Johor Port attended the TrainForTrade Port Management
Week 2022 organised by the United Nations Conference
on Trade and Development (“UNCTAD”) that was held
at Las Palmas in Canary Islands, Spain. The UNCTAD
TrainForTrade Port Management Week aims to share
knowledge and expertise between port operators,
as well as strengthen talent management and human
resources development in port communities.
