          Championing Operational Excellence

Across all ports, concerted efforts to elevate operational capabilities have led to major upgrades,

acquisitions, and technological integrations, reinforcing MMC Ports’ focus on continuous improvement
and sustainable operational performance during the year.

           PTP
For the year, a key area that PTP had prioritised was its terminal
expansion initiatives, particularly as part of its KILAT programme. With
this objective, PTP executed a series of key developments including the
first phase completion of the terminal yard expansion of 27,567 TEUs
(remaining phases of 22,056 TEUs and 12,240 TEUs by mid-2026), the
Berth Zero development contract involving a MMC Engineering and
Antara Koh joint-venture, and the shift from two Conventional Reefer
Blocks to a Hybrid Reefer concept, which will increase PTP’s total to
5,543 plugs and raising reefer capacity to 437,954 TEUs. The Port has
also acquired additional equipment, including 11 Ultra Large Container
Vessel quay cranes, 57 e-RTG Cranes with more to come, and 40 new
prime movers, with plans for the procurement of 96 additional prime
movers (52 of them being electric).

On the digital front, PTP continues to lead the charge in digital
transformation, particularly in fields including Artificial Intelligence (AI),
Internet of Things (IoT), Big Data and advanced Terminal Operating
System capabilities, setting the benchmark for the entire MMC Ports
Group and industry as a whole. These include the Safety and Driver
Management System (SDMS), which measures and addresses fatigue
driving with real-time monitoring, and the continued development of
Terminal Truck Optimisation (TT-O), which drove greater efficiency at
the terminal, and was recently recognised with the Top Supply Chain
          Projects Award 2025.

           Johor Port
Johor Port had upgraded its infrastructure exponentially, through
the acquisition of two units of Quay Cranes costing RM71.2 million
which were deployed for operations on 21 November 2025, four
units of Level Luffing Cranes costing RM72.3 million, and three units
of Container Reach Stackers with a CAPEX of RM3.5 million. These
acquisitions will boost the port’s handling capacity, productivity, and
precision. Meanwhile, the expansion of the new BT13 and BT14 Liquid
Jetties for specialised operations was completed and operational by Penang Port
October 2025. The Port is also engaged in ongoing repair works for
Block Z9, including the reinstatement of Interlocking Pavement, RTG Penang Port delivered several key operational measures focused on
Tracks and associated works at Container Yard, which are expected to improving efficiency, reliability, and sustainability. These include the
