Mangrove Planting Programme

24 Northport participated in the Mangrove Planting Programme at Taman Rekreasi Mangrove Point, Port Klang, organised by
Port Klang Authority (PKA). The event saw participation from Northport, Westports and Port Klang Free Zone in collaboration
with Selangor Maritime Gateway and the Selangor State Forestry Department. Activities commenced with a gotong-royong in
the mangrove swamp area, followed by the planting of 100 mangrove saplings around the cleaned area.
Jan-Feb Proof of Concept (POC)-EV Prime Mover
15-15 Northport recently completed a POC for Electric
Vehicle (EV) Prime Movers sourced from Terberg
Tractors Malaysia. This POC spanned from
15 January to 15 February 2024. The terminal has conducted
on-site familiarisation sessions and test drives for PM drivers
marking the pilot run phase of the POC. Throughout this
period, both the EV model PM502 and the diesel-powered
PM869 were deployed for operational purposes, allowing for a
comprehensive assessment of their performance and suitability
within the port environment.
