KONTENA NASIONAL CONDUCTS COMMUTING SAFETY INDUCTION TRAINING
The training was organised at its Headquarters office in collaboration with the
Malaysian Road Transportation and Safety Association (MRTSA) and supported by
a training grant from PERKESO. This training aimed to educate its employees about
possible road hazards, proper bike riding techniques as well as essential vehicle
checks. By harnessing the expertise of MRTSA, participants gained vital knowledge
in navigating potential dangers responsibly, adopting safe biking practices and ensuring vehicle readiness. This collaborative
endeavour plays a crucial role in fostering a culture of safety and responsibility within the framework of commuting.

ENVIRONMENTAL PRESERVATION
PROOF OF CONCEPT FOR BATTERY MANAGEMENT SYSTEM
As part of Northport’s ESG initiatives, the team is exploring a Battery Management System where used batteries from heavy
equipment are revived and given a second lease of life. This system revitalises these batteries through a regeneration process,
restoring their performance to near-original levels. This approach not only extends the lifespan of the batteries but also reduces
the need for frequent replacements and any additional operational costs.
