Kongsi Rezeki - Penang Port Shares Bubur Lambuk with

Ferry Users
Penang Port had the privilege of sharing bubur lambuk with its ferry
and port users as part of its Kongsi Rezeki CSR programme during
the blessed month of Ramadan. In a collaborative effort with Masjid
Jamek Prai, the port distributed this traditional dish at various locations,
including the Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda Ferry Terminal, North Butterworth
Container Terminal, Butterworth Deep Water Wharves, and Prai Bulk
Cargo.
PTP Launches RATU Programme to Help
Other than the distribution at its operational sites, Penang Port also 20 MAR Underprivileged Women
contributed 800 packs of bubur lambuk to the community in Prai,
extending its reach and sharing in the spirit of Ramadan. Launched in partnership with Johor Port Authority (JPA) and Yayasan
Pembangunan Keluarga Darul Ta'zim (YPKDT), RATU is part of
PTP’s Harapan Lestari CSR initiative, focusing on tailored upskilling
programmes to enhance the socio-economic well-being of female
participants from Gelang Patah, Iskandar Puteri, Johor Bahru and Pasir
Gudang. PTP, JPA and YPKDT proudly welcomed the inaugural cohort
of 30 participants, comprising individuals from the B40 group, including
single mothers and those facing financial hardship.
The launch ceremony, held at Wisma PTP, was officiated by Johor
Women, Family and Community Development Committee Chairwoman,
YB Hajah Khairin-Nisa Ismail @ Md On, alongside senior management
and staff volunteers from all three organisations. During the launch
event, YB Hajah Khairin-Nisa praised the collaboration as a strategic
partnership that could create a lasting impact for the community,
particularly for underprivileged women across Johor. She also
highlighted that RATU, in Bahasa Malaysia, stands for Rintis (Pioneer),
Aspirasi (Aspiration), Tegar (Resilient) and Unggul (Superior), and

In the true spirit of community and generosity, over 3,500 servings of
bubur lambuk were prepared by dedicated volunteers from PTP and
the local villages of Mukim Tanjung Kupang. These hearty portions were
then distributed to orphanages, senior citizen care centres, mosques,
the homeless, and members of the community in need around Gelang
Patah and Johor Bahru.
This meaningful programme, under the banner of PTP’s Kasih Lestari
CSR initiative, was made possible through a collaboration with key
state bodies such as the Johor Bahru District Office, Iskandar Puteri

Each beneficiary received a specially prepared raya aid pack filled
with festive essentials, including rice, sugar, flour, glutinous rice, dried
noodles, spices, and instant ketupat, along with vouchers worth RM100
to brighten their Hari Raya celebrations. It is PTP’s hope that these
goods will ease burdens, uplift spirits and ensure every family’s joy
during Hari Raya.
