Johor Port Organises Scheduled Waste Awareness Talk

Johor Port organised a Scheduled Waste Awareness Talk aimed at enhancing employees’ knowledge and understanding of the proper handling,
storage, and disposal of scheduled waste in accordance with environmental laws and regulations. The session also highlighted the risks associated
with improper waste management, including environmental contamination and workplace health hazards, reinforcing the importance of safe and
compliant waste practices.
27 FEB Johor Port Participates in Environmental Awareness Talk by DOE Putrajaya
Johor Port participated in an Environmental Awareness Talk organised by the Department of Environment (DOE) Putrajaya. The session aimed to
enhance employees' understanding of the environmental and health risks associated with improper handling and disposal of hazardous waste.
This initiative also served to educate staff on regulatory requirements, best practices and the importance of compliance with environmental laws
to minimise pollution and ensure a safe workplace.
Visit to Pasir Gudang Municipal Council’s Nursery and

Session
Johor Port visited the Pasir Gudang Municipal Council’s Nursery and
Sustainability Centre for a hands-on composting training session. The
session focused on the transformation of food and garden waste into
nutrient-rich compost, highlighting sustainable waste management
practices that helpreduce landfill waste and promote environmental
stewardship.
Northport Participates in the SeaCleaners Mobula

Inauguration
Northport was invited to the SeaCleaners Mobula Inauguration, hosted
by the Malaysian-French Chamber of Commerce & Industry at the
Peninsular Sailing Club, Selangor. The event featured the Guest of
Honour, YB Nik Nazmi Nik Ahmad, Minister of Natural Resources and Northport Promotes Environmental Awareness through
Environmental Sustainability of Malaysia. The Mobula is an innovative 14 FEB Knowledge Sharing Session
depollution boat designed to combat plastic pollution and raise
environmental awareness in Malaysia. Northport organised an environmental awareness talk programme
for its employees on the topic of Integrated Coastal Management
(ICM). The session was delivered by Datin Paduka Tpr. Hajah Noraini
binti Haji Roslan, the former Mayor of Majlis Bandaraya Diraja Klang.
The objective of this programme was to provide insights into sustainable
coastal development practices and strategies for effective ICM
implementation, emphasising the integration of ecological, social, and
economic considerations to enhance coastal resilience and community
well-being.

Northport’s Sustainability team participated in the conference titled ESG
Implementation: Navigating the ESG Landscape - Unlocking Standards,
Certifications and Funding Opportunities, organised by Crowe in
collaboration with the Malaysian International Chamber of Commerce
& Industry and the Malaysian Consortium of Mid-Tier Companies.
