Members of MMC Ports Participate in the Malaysia Maritime
Week 2024
This annual exhibition and conference was launched by the
Prime Minister of Malaysia, YAB Dato’ Seri Anwar Ibrahim, at
KLCC with the participation of the nation’s ports, logistics and
supply chain players.
PTP was honoured to be mentioned by the Prime Minister
during his opening speech, lauding its achievements as one
of the top ports in the world in terms of both efficiency and
container throughput. PTP also participated in a presentation
on port readiness for alternative energy and took part in a panel
discussion on green shipping and sustainability alongside
other industry experts. Meanwhile, Northport participated in
the event together with Port Klang Authority, Westports and
Port Klang Free Zone under the Port Klang pavilion.

Northport Signs a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU)
with Kuantan Port Consortium and Malaysia Rail Link Chartered Institute of Procurement
Northport, Kuantan Port Consortium and Malaysia Rail Link and Supply (CIPS) Asia’s Excellence in

6 June PTP Achieves New Throughput Record – First Port in
Malaysia to Surpass 1.1 Million TEUs Handling in a Month
PTP redefined port efficiency standards in the region by handling
a staggering 1,115,181 TEUs – a new monthly record achieved
without any congestion. This extraordinary feat follows PTP’s
sustained performance of handling over one million TEUs for
three consecutive months since May this year.

Penang Port Corporate Golf Tournament 2024
Penang Port organised the tournament for 108 participants
including stakeholders, government agencies, and esteemed
clients at the picturesque Penang Golf Resort, Bertam. The
tournament served as a pivotal platform for networking, sharing
industry insights, and seizing new business prospects. Northport Launches its Northport Apprenticeship Programme
