PENANG PORT
Penang Port has initiated several ongoing technological initiatives to enhance its throughput and productivity. In particular,
the port is looking to implement systems such as the more advanced RAMCO ERP System with added functionalities, Facial
Recognition System, Electronic Data Interchange for faster and more accurate data exchange between Penang Port and shipping
lines, and a new QR Code system for efficient equipment breakdown reports.
JOHOR PORT
Johor Port has significant plans to empower efficiency, including upgrading its conveyor systems. Work on the Break Bulk Terminal
Wharf Conveyor System is schedule to begin in Q42024 with a complete overhaul of the existing conveyor system planned
for 2025/2026 in order to increase its operational capacity. Meanwhile, detailed plans have been set for the implementation
of automated gate and weighbridge systems to be launched by October 2025, aimed at reducing processing times and
strengthening security.
To boost throughput and productivity, Johor Port will also implement targeted incentive programmes for selected employees.
TANJUNG BRUAS PORT
Tanjung Bruas Port is currently committed to several future plans including the implementation of new digitalisation systems such
as TOS and RAMCO to streamline processes, the improvement and incentivisation of staff benefits, as well as the acquisition of
a brand new Container Reach Stacker to enhance daily container operations.
Additionally, a port expansion plan involving an additional 50,000 sqft each of multipurpose warehouse space and multipurpose
open yard is slated to open up an additional 350 container ground slots. The development of various facilities including new
wharfs and quay crane deployment across 30 acres of reclamation land is also planned for Q12025.
