• Document Management System (DMS)
The implementation of a DMS at the port incorporates features such as ISO procedure documentation and the facilitation of
online payment approval processes, empowering accessibility and streamlined workflow for employees.
• QR Codes for Reporting Unsafe Acts
A QR code system has been utilised to enhance safety reporting at Penang Port, allowing for advantages such as convenient
and quick reporting as well as data analysis capabilities to efficiently identify and rectify trends.
JOHOR PORT
• Unmanned Weighbridge System
Weighbridges are essential port equipment used for measuring the weight of trucks and goods. With a total of five automated
weighbridges across its premises, Johor Port has significantly reduced processing times and eliminated the chances of human
error, and minimised the need for manual identification.
• Terminal Operating System (TOS)
The TOS serves as the port's central nervous system, optimising all operational functions such as vessel planning, yard
management, gate operations, warehouse management, manpower allocation and equipment scheduling.
• Data Analytics and Optimisation
Digital Analytic tools are used to gather extensive data on terminal operations, enabling the identification of trends, workflow
optimisation, and data-driven decision making to improve efficiency and resource allocation.
• Customer Interface
Johor Port has enhanced its customer experience by providing web-based online portals for booking appointments, tracking
cargo, and accessing real-time information. This has enhanced communication and transparency for its stakeholders.
