TANJUNG BRUAS PORT
Tanjung Bruas Port utilises a well-planned approach to
developing its workforce. Employees are recruited and
designated to tasks based on their expertise and existing
talents. Everyone is also evaluated regularly through a
corporate KPI framework which includes several critical
metrics such as operational excellence.
PENANG PORT
Penang Port employs a strategic direction in developing
and optimising the efficiency of its workforce. Tasks around
the premises are assigned based on each port employee’s
experience and aptitude to deliver the best services, with
all employees also continuously broadening their skills
through supervised on-the-job training, scenario drills, and
refresher programmes for updated or emerging practices.
After recruitment, new hire training modules are also held
to provide all new employees with the basics they need to
succeed in their roles.
Penang Port’s streamlined, balanced approach, combining
structure with flexibility, helps ensure that efficiency and
productivity thrive in the workplace.
JOHOR PORT
To continuously enhance its high standards of productivity,
Johor Port has established a comprehensive Competency
Framework aimed at developing employees’ capabilities.
The framework focuses on three key competencies: Core,
Leadership, and Functional. Most programmes are tailored
to each employee’s Individual Development Plan where
competency gaps are identified and addressed through
targeted training modules. Following this, the effectiveness
of these modules is assessed through post-training
evaluations.
