          NORTHPORT PARTICIPATES IN          MEDIA WALKABOUT AT PANGKALAN SULTAN ABDUL HALIM (PSAH)
          SELANGOR INTERNATIONAL
          BUSINESS SUMMIT (SIBS) 2022        Penang Port and Penang Port Commission (PPC) held a media walkabout at PSAH,
                                             which was attended by Datuk Tan Teik Cheng, Chairman of PPC, Dato’ Sasedharan

                                             Dato’ Sasedharan Vasudevan, CEO of Penang Port and Datuk Tan Teik Cheng,
                                             Chairman of Penang Port Commission were in attendance to welcome TYT Tun Dato’
                                             Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi Haji Abdul Razak and his spouse.
                                             TYT Tun Dato’ Seri Utama Ahmad Fuzi Haji Abdul Razak was brought for a ship tour
                                             which features the spectacular Bionic Bar, The Bridge Deck 12 & Two70 Deck 5,
                                             with all VIPs enjoying lunch at Chops Grille Deck 5 afterwards.


          JOHOR PORT’S JP SKILLS CENTRE WINS ACCOLADE AT THE MALAYSIA
          EDUCATION & TVET AWARDS (META) 2022
          Johor Port, through its JP Skills Centre, won the award for the Best TVET Training Provider
          (Ports & Logistics) in the inaugural META 2022. This programme aimed to honour local
          personalities and entities that have excelled in providing the best in the formal education
          sector providers in the country.
          Established in 2014 as the Training Division of Johor Port, JP Skills Centre is the Centre of
          Excellence for MMC Ports and has trained more than 7,000 port and logistics officers in Malaysia, Taiwan, Singapore, Philippines,
          Indonesia, Cambodia, Vietnam, Ghana and Nigeria.
          Johor Port was represented by Md Derick Basir, CEO of Johor Port who received the award from Hajah Zanariah Haji Ahmad,
          Director of TVET Division of the Ministry of Education. It was also attended by Dr Nazry Yahya, Head of JP Skills Centre.
          Recognised  as an  award-winning,  certified  institution  throughout  the  years, JP Skills  Centre  has  recently  broadened  its
          horizons through a strategic collaboration with Universiti Teknologi Malaysia to offer the world’s first Professional Master in
          Port Management, formed to enhance the operational knowledge of both local and international port professionals.
