Propelling Penang Port’s Ferries
A total of
1,197,464 passengers utilised the
ferry from January to August 2023,
with a total projected figure of
1,590,000 passengers anticipated
by the end of the year, as of the time of writing.
These figures represent the combined number of
passengers using both the Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim
(PSAH), Butterworth and the Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda
(PRTU), George Town for the entire year. Passengers are
counted when they travel in both directions, meaning
when they depart from one terminal and return to it.
