DEEPAVALI CSR PROGRAMME 2023
Northport organised a CSR programme in conjunction with the Deepavali celebration with students
and teachers at Sekolah Jenis Kebangsaan (Tamil) Taman Sentosa, Klang. During the event,
Northport presented hampers to the school as a celebratory Deepavali gesture.
As part of the CSR programme, Northport's employees also took this opportunity to share
knowledge about sustainable agriculture with the school children, with a specific focus on
the hydroponic method. The team from Northport’s Facilities Department further contributed to this
initiative by installing two sets of hydroponic equipment.

Northport organised a Motivational Seminar and Examination Preparation
Programme for students who will be sitting for this year’s Sijil Pelajaran
Malaysia (SPM) examination. The programme saw the participation of 70
SPM candidates, who are also the children of Northport’s employees.
The objective of this programme was to expose the students to practical
and optimal techniques in answering examination papers and to provide
them with much-needed motivation before they sit for the examination.
The programme was conducted by a group of experienced teachers and
motivators.
JOHOR PORT SENTUHAN KASIH PROGRAMME
Johor Port celebrated World Children's Day 2023 with the special needs
children at the Pediatric Cancer Unit of Hospital Sultan Ismail, Johor

This programme aimed to engage with all the special needs children

Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad (KTMB) joined hands to organise White
Cane Day 2023. To begin, Dato' Sasedharan Vasudevan, CEO of Penang
Port, had the privilege of connecting with the group of visually impaired
individuals during an unforgettable ferry ride at Pangkalan Raja Tun Uda
and Pangkalan Sultan Abdul Halim. After the heartwarming ferry ride,
participants from Penang Port, Penang Sentral, and KTMB took the bold
step of being blindfolded, giving them an immersive glimpse into the daily
lives and challenges of the visually impaired.
PENANG PORT PROMOTES UNITY AND HEALTH THROUGH BLOOD
DONATION DRIVE 2.0
Penang Port successfully organised Blood Donation Drive 2.0 in
collaboration with the Transfusion Unit of Seberang Jaya Hospital. The
event garnered an overwhelming response, with a total of 89 donors from
various departments within Penang Port as well as external stakeholders
contributing to the cause.
The event showcased the strong community spirit within Penang Port,
as well as the critical importance of blood donation in saving lives and
fostering a healthier, more resilient society.
