PENANG PORT HOSTS A COURTESY VISIT FROM THE AMBASSADOR
OF BELGIUM TO MALAYSIA
Penang Port had the honour of hosting a courtesy visit
from the Ambassador of Belgium to Malaysia, His Excellency Peter Van
Acker and the Honorary Consul, Mr. Michel Van Crombrugge.
The distinguished guests were warmly received by Dato' Seri Syed
Mohammad Syed Murtaza, Chairman of Penang Port, together with Dato'
Sasedharan Vasudevan, CEO of Penang Port.
Penang Port had the privilege of providing the guests with an in-depth
overview and achievements, commitment to excellence and the future
vision of the Port. The visit was a strategic opportunity to strengthen
international ties and explore potential collaborations.
PENANG PORT HOSTS A WORKING VISIT FROM LKIM
In October 2023, Penang Port had the honour of hosting a special
working visit from LKIM. It was an informative and collaborative session
aimed at providing insights into port operations and the port’s vital
role in powering the Malaysian economy. During the visit, Penang
Port showcased the remarkable efforts and efficient systems that
power its day-to-day operations.
VISIT FROM THE SELANGOR STATE OF NATIONAL SECURITY
COUNCIL (MKN)
Northport hosted a visit from the Selangor State of National Security
Council (MKN). The delegation was welcomed by Northport’s CEO,
Dato’ Azman Shah Mohd Yusof and the Health, Safety, Security,

Penang Port was honoured to receive a courtesy visit from Bromma, a
leading provider of crane spreaders. The event was held in December
2023 at North Butterworth Container Terminal to oversee the operation
of its container terminal. The visit provided a valuable opportunity for
both parties to share their expertise and experiences and to gain additional
insights into the latest industry trends and innovations.
