Dec Wan Hai and Interasia Achieve Two Million TEUs at Northport
19 Northport celebrated a historic milestone as the Taiwan-based shipping lines, Wan Hai Lines (M) Sdn. Bhd. (Wan Hai) and Interasia Lines (M)
Sdn. Bhd. (Interasia) successfully achieved a combined throughput of two million TEUs in a single year at Northport. Wan Hai is Northport’s biggest
customer in terms of container throughput.
Dec PTP Goes Live with Kaleris 4.0 Terminal Operating System
6 PTP successfully gone live with the advanced Kaleris (Navis)
N4 4.0 terminal operating system in a planned outage of only 2.5
hours, with it being the largest-scale implementation of N4 4.0 globally
to date. This was completed with no interruptions in collaboration with
Kaleris and APM Terminals.
The upgrade supports PTP’s comprehensive infrastructure including 58
quay cranes, 199 RTG cranes, 572 prime movers, and 743 trailers while
having key features such as Kafka messaging and improved software
configuration with upgraded system speed, uptime, and XPS client
stability. This upgrade also further enhances the jointly developed
Terminal Truck Optimiser advanced module and delivers a smoother,
faster user experience.
Dec CIMA is Back in Action: Coal Operations Return to Tanjung
18 Bruas Port
After a two-year break, Cement Industries of Malaysia Berhad (CIMA)
has resumed its coal importation via Tanjung Bruas Port. This marks a
significant milestone and a notable comeback for CIMA which involves
the transportation of 8,200 metric tonnes of coal, primarily received
and sourced from Palembang, Sumatera with shipments arriving via
routes from Kertapati Jetty. The process of transferring coal from
barge to warehouse took 4 days, demonstrating the port’s efficiency
